Hi! I'm Kelly Vrooman, a comedic writer/performer whom The New York Times called "a master class in rapid-fire comedy." Most recently, I've appeared on ABC's Black-ish and Grey's Anatomy.
My short film, Rekindled, screened at 12 Oscar Qualifying festivals and won 16 awards, including Best Film, Best Writer, and Best Actress.
My original sketch comedy videos have garnered 50 million views and counting.
As a writer, I've been staffed on The Chica Show and the upcoming animated series, The Tuttle Twins. I've also written many comedic campaigns for the advertising gurus, The Harmon Brothers. My feature script, Emergency Contact, was a semi-finalist (top 1%) in the 2021 Blue Cat screenplay competition.
As an improv comedian, I've performed all over North America and can be seen weekly at UCB Los Angeles with my Harold team, GHOST. My improv duo, Laurelly (with Lauren Pritchard), holds the record for most wins at the legendary improv Cagematch at iOWest in Hollywood with 69 straight weeks.
I'm a Kennedy Center Irene Ryan acting scholarship nominee, Thomas Angel Foundation Women in Comedy finalist, and a "Best TV Host" Kids Screen Award winner for my work hosting The Sunny Side Up Show on Sprout/Universal Kids.
