Kelly Vrooman

Hi! I'm Kelly Vrooman, a comedic actor/writer who The New York Times called "a master class in rapid-fire comedy." Most recently, I appeared on ABC's Black-ish and Grey's Anatomy, and perform weekly at UCB Los Angeles with my improv comedy team, Ghost.  I'm often described as having a "sassy mom energy" and to that I say, you're welcome, now get off my lap.

 

I starred in a TV show on Sprout/NBCKids for a billion years and have appeared in many national commercials, but now I get recognized most for dramatically acting out real things my 4-year-old says on Instagram and TikTok, @KellyVrooms.

As a writer, I've worked on NBCKids' The Chica Show, The Chosen: Animated Adventures (coming out 2025!), and like every self-indulgent writer/performer, I wrote and starred in my own short film, Rekindled, which played at 12 Oscar-qualifying film festivals and won 16 prizes including best comedy script and best actress in a comedy. ​

When I'm not writing or performing, I'm spiraling with existential dread, playing with my super cute kids, gardening, and rearranging my furniture.
